Ethan on Stage

It's been several years since we posted anything on our family blog. So, here it goes. In December Ethan was able to be in the play at our local theater. He was in Meet Me in St. Louis. He had one of the lead roles, as John Truitt, along with the girl in the picture, her name is Jordan, she played Esther Smith. They got to kiss on stage! He was amazing in this play and made us very proud. Ethan has found a love for theater. He is doing backstage for a play that is going on right now. He also got a part in a play that's coming up in May, The Secret Garden. He got the part of Lt. Shaw. Not a lead role but he's just excited to be a part of it.

Mr Handyman

Mr Handyman here just fixed the dishwasher.

dishwasher wouldn't turn on. was able to take it apart and found a little blue green piece that didn't look like it belonged. Took it out, put the dishwasher back together and it worked first try.

also, my mechanics skills were put to the test the last couple of weeks. My car was losing antifreeze and over heating. I was able to replace 4 hoses, pressure tested - no leaks.

drove it to work yesterday, worked great. drove home and once again - started overheating. got it home, looked at the all the hoses no leaking. then i look up and see smoke/steam from the far side under the exhaust manifold. Made a call the expert, my dad, he said the only thing that could be is a blown head gasket. oh great for me.

For someone knowing what they're doing it should only take about 5 hours. Me, not knowing what I'm doing, should only take me 2 - 3 times that. There goes my next couple of saturdays.
